  • Sally-Anne GrossSALLY-ANNE GROSS
    Sally-Anne Gross is both a music industry practitioner and an academic. In 1993 she was the first women to work as a director of Artist & Repertoire at Mercury Records UK, and she chaired the first ever panel on gender in the music industries at ‘In The City’ music conference in Manchester. Sally-Anne has been working in the music industry for nearly three decades, as an artist manager, record label director and international business affairs consultant. In her current role at the University of Westminster, she is the program director of the MA Music Business Management where she teaches Intellectual Property and Copyright Management, Artist & Repertoire and Music Development. In 2016 she founded ‘Let’s Change the Record’ a project that focuses on bridging the gender divide in music production by running inclusive audio engineering and song-writing workshops for people identifying as women or non-binary. Sally-Anne is the co-author of ‘Can Music Make You Sick’ the largest ever study into mental health in the music industry that was funded by the charity Help Musicians UK and published in November 2017. She is interested in working practices in the music industries and the conditions of digital labour and specifically how they impact on questions of diversity and equality. Sally-Anne has four grown up children all of whom work one way or another with music, and although she always identifies as a ‘native’ Londoner, she actually lives in North Hertfordshire.

    Cultural manager, a producer, curator, chairman of the board of the Plateaux Foundation. Many years of experience in producing festivals and concerts in Poland and international projects worldwide, including the biggest performance rooms in Poland and abroad.     Known as Borówka (blueberry). Worked as a journalist in several media. He was publishing in Gazeta Wyborcza, Polityka or Teraz Rock. Having his own shows in TVP3, Eska Rock, Radiofonia. Gave it all up because he’s gone into organising concerts. Not big Open’er alike concerts though, but those smaller, cosy ones, for 30, maybe 100 people. Over the 13 years his company organised more than 3500 of such concerts in Poland and 20 other countries, from Moldavia to Iceland. He likes small because small is beautiful! So not only he makes small concerts, but he also makes them in small localities – even in villages! Concerts in unusual places – apartments (he made over 200 of those!), prisons, hospitals or rooftops is his province.

    Tony has been a music professional since 1981 having worked in various areas of the industry. Starting out in music retail in the UK, moving in to sales and distribution reaching the position of Sales and Marketing Director at Vital Distribution (now PIAS UK). Deciding to move away from sales and distribution in 1997 to join RCA Records (UK) as Head of Alternative Marketing, leading in time to a move in to the pioneering digital area of the industry as Content Director for digital aggregators iCrunch and later Tornado. In 2004 a move to Poland resulted in Duckworth setting up his own sales, marketing, PR and distribution company. The company introduced many International labels to the Polish market for the first time. After significant success with acts such as The Prodigy, Brendan Perry and discovering Polish act Snowman, Kartel Music in 2009 joined forces with Mystic Production, the leading independent music distributor in Poland. Duckworth stayed on with Mystic adding his broad experience to the management team taking on the roles of Head of International, Head of Label Management and Head of Digital. On January 1st 2015 Duckworth was appointed General Manager of [PIAS] Poland and Eastern Europe. Based in Warsaw, Poland the office offers services to labels such as Play It Again Sam, Harmonia Mundi, Jazz Village, World Village, Bella Union, Sub Pop, Secretly Canadian, Mute, Ninja Tune, Partisan, Heavenly, Transgressive to name but a few. Between 2007 and 2010 reviewing film, shows and TV Theatre’s scripts for TVP S.A. From 2007 has been working in The Culture and National Heritage Department of the Municipal Office of Krakow, from 2019 as a director of the Cultural Patronage branch. The branch is responsible for i.a. processing of competitions: Stypendia Twórcze Miasta Krakowa, Mecenas Kultury Krakowa, Nagrody Miasta Krakowa, and co-operation with NGOs.

    A jazz pianist and composer with impressive achievements and even more impressive plans. He has recorded five very well-received albums and participated in many more projects as a sideman. The albums released to date have brought him numerous awards and distinctions, such as: nomination to the Fryderyk award (Poland’s most prestigious music prize), six wins in the Jazz Forum magazine’s Jazz Top contest, five “Jazz Oscars” at the Grand Prix Jazz Melomani gala, the Mateusz statue awarded by Polish Radio Three, Kulturalne Odloty Gazety Wyborczej award given by one of Poland’s top daily paper in the Artist of The Year category. Paweł doesn’t like to pigenhole his sound and aims to avoid any boxes.

Founder and a leader of a Cheap Tobacco band, which has given over five hundred concerts in Poland and abroad. In 2019 performed on i.a. Canadian Music Week in Toronto, Sziget Festival, Rock Legend Festival. In 2020 they will play on Summerfest in USA. Their latest album was nominated to FRYDERYK.

    One of the most outstanding authours of a nonobvious pop music. Creating UL/KR, Lauda, Kobieta z wydm. From 2014 has been working also on his own, as Król, trying to turn underground sensitivity into radio language, looking in this for a simplicity and capacity in a multilayer lyrism. Król received many prestigious awards and nominations, i.a. Paszport Polityki, Fryderyk. For his 2018 album Przewijanie na podglądzie was awarded with Mateusz Trójki.

From many years has been taking care of MediaTory gala’s musical frame. Graduate of Hungarian studies. Fan of paprika, trip-hop and Monika Bellucci.
  •  Agnieszka Kulczycka AGNIESZKA KULCZYCKA
    A music consultant and the founder and president of the Sirens company, she is a graduate of the Music Academy in Gdańsk and the Lódź Film School. Passionate about music, she founded Music Consultation – currently Sirens – in 2006, a company that was the first on the Polish market to combine music consultation and rights clearance. Thanks to her extensive experience in the music industry, she is the coordinator of authorial licenses for feature films, series, advertising spots and the author of musical settings for television stations. She has had the pleasure of being a speaker at music festivals and during conferences at the Music Academy in Łódź. As a consultant and founder of Sirens, she gives numerous radio and press interviews.

Has an acting history of several supporting roles, author of music and songs for few films, participated in Beats of Freedom (Zew wolności), where he spins a yarn about history and role of rock music in Polish transformation in 70s and 80s. One of the initiator of Związek Zawodowy Muzyków RP (Polish musicians union) and Związek Produncetów Audio Video (syndicate of audio and video producers). In 2011 awarded by the President of Poland with Officer’s Cross of Order of Polonia Restituta. As a member of several groups and projects recorded a dozen or so albums. From 2017 member of the executive presidium of Stowarzyszenie Autorów ZAiKS (Polish Society of Authors and Composers). Board member of Music Export Poland Foundation.

    One of the most active Polish drummers over the last years, playing in the band CORRUPTION. Working also as a session musician. Since 2013 is at the forefront of a private music school Rockalizacja by Mapex – www.rockalizacja.pl. His drums adventure started in 1993 when he was just nine. Cooperated with many projects and bands, i.a. Devilish Impressions, Darzamat, Abused Majesty, Via Mistica, Hermh, Christ Agony, Naumachia, Asgaard. While performing he travelled the Europe from Portuguese coast up to the distant horizon of the Russian Ural Mountains. Made over 30 officially released albums. He is the only Mapex Drums brand’s endorser in Poland. Cooperates also with other musical equipment’s producers – Istanbul Agop, Roland, Agner, Soundargov, BullCases, Evans and Czarcie Kopyto.
  • Paweł SwiernalisPAWEŁ SWIERNALIS
    Swiernalis is a Polish artist performing music from the border of alternative rock. Unusual sense of humour and spiny-tingling lyrics, which he writes himself, are his trademark. Born in Suwałki, but by heart and rent connected with Poznań. In 2016 his dream came true – the Drauma album was published under the watchful eye of Paweł Cieślak from Łódź, which in ten extraordinary pieces refers to a complicated childhood and rebellious youth of Swiernalis. Hundreds of concerts and a shelf full of awards make him recognizable on Polish music scene. In 2017 received the award for ‘the biggest personality’ on FAMA Festival. After that he focused on putting up the band and working on new material, which resulted in two singles, Pergamin and Blizny.

For 6 years has been a manager of Wojtek Mazolewski and his bands, with which he’s been very successful not only in Poland but also abroad. Bartosz was also the initiator and director of student Bluesroads Festival in Kraków. Last year was a roll for Wojtek Mazolewski Quintet, i.a. concerts wround the world and reedition of their album Polka, which was recognised by a prestigious Downbeat magazine as one of the best five jazz albums of 2018. In the meantime, Bartek made a use of his pedagogical talent by leading the Toruń group of TBM Incubator.
